Micro Adventure to Consiton

After a quick, chilly trip to Sizergh Castle, we headed over to Coniston for a wander and a stone throw. It was freezing but also lovely and quiet. We parked in our usual spot and walked the short distance to the waters edge. Straight away the kids were off to look for the best stones…

Anchors away! Well, sort of…

I love the fact that both kids have been working on this, and that the festival was already into it’s second and last week, yet neither child had thought to mention it…

Apple Day and Butterflies…

A Ssslithery Birthday Adventure…

We headed in, bought our bird food, Charlotte lost her small toy Pascal the lizard by “feeding it” to the plastic swan used to collect donations, a distraught tantrum was had, comfort was dished out with a little bit of “this is why we don’t feed toys to swans” explaining and then we went in search of snakes, which weren’t very far at all thankfully…

A busy weekend so a squeezed in adventure…

I had a busy weekend as I had a stall at a Vintage and Handmade Fair at the Blackpool Winter Gardens (which you can read about here if you like) and Tom had a party to go to at a lovely indoor soft play centre on Sunday so our adverturing time was very limited. Lucky…
