Where do you go when you fancy an easy walk that will entertain both the kids and the adults? Well, Tarn Hows is a good option. Managed by the National Trust, there is a car parking charge, toilets and even a van selling drinks. The walking route is a circular one around the tarn with some cracking views of the Langdales and lovely woodland full of wildlife. It’s suitable for pushchairs and little legs making it the perfect walk to do as a family.
This walk was no different to any other we have had there and that’s no bad thing. The weather is still chilly but that didn’t stop the kids putting there feet in too deep water and getting soaked. Another walk, another car ride in just their pants. This is exactly why we keep a blanket in the car.
