Micro Adventure to Consiton

After a quick, chilly trip to Sizergh Castle, we headed over to Coniston for a wander and a stone throw. It was freezing but also lovely and quiet. We parked in our usual spot and walked the short distance to the waters edge. Straight away the kids were off to look for the best stones to throw.

We might have only been out an hour or so but it was an hour well spent. Charlotte went on a stick hunt and Tom played on the rocks while I played with my camera.

Some of our best times are had on the shortest visits out. It just reminds me that any adventure, no matter how small, is always worthwhile.
