Well, tomorrow we move from Lancashire to Cumbria. I’ve moved a lot in the last 15 years but this time I’m really nervous. I’m not nervous about me or Bob, I know we’d settle anywhere and we always wanted to move closer to the Lake District, this is just a bit sooner than we planned. I’m nervous for the kids. They have been settled in Lancashire, especially Tom with school so I’m not sure how well they will adjust to moving. However, Tom was pleased when he found out his school is a forest school and that we’ll only be a short distance from the “real” mountains. Charlotte was excited to be moving nearer to the sea.
We will be in Cumbria for at least 12 months and we are planning on exploring as much as possible! Living in Preston has been frustrating when it comes to exploring. Aside from 1 or 2 places, most places require the best part of an hours drive away which automatically increases the cost in petrol alone. That’s not to say there aren’t a lot of lovely places we won’t miss however.
So goodbye Lancashire, hello Cumbria… please be gentle with us!
